PRESS RELEASE
Brussels, November 30 2015. The Solar Certification Fund launches its 7th call for project proposals. Since its first call in 2011, this fund has contributed with almost 900 thousand Euros to 80 projects related to the support of certification and standardisation as well as to the development of quality assurance for the advancement of the solar thermal technology.
The European Solar Certification Fund (SCF) was established by the Solar Keymark Network in 2010 and launched its first call for project proposals in January 2011. This Fund aims at supporting activities related to the development and promotion of the Solar Keymark certification scheme and the relevant standards. Through the four previous calls, this Fund has co-financed 80 projects with an amount approaching 885 000 Euros.
The 7th SCF call asks for project proposals on a number of priority issues. There are 11 priority issues, several of them related to work required in relation to the energy labelling of space and water heaters. Furthermore, other project proposals related to the support of certification and standardisation as well as promotion and quality assurance of solar thermal technology can be handed in.
Total available budget for this call is approximately 130 000 €. The indicative budgets given in call reflects the priorities given by the SCF Steering group in advance – the final budget distribution will depend on the relevance and quality of the proposals handed in.
The SCF Call for Project Proposals can be found here. The deadline for submitting proposals is 15th January 2016, 15h00 CET.
