The Coalition for Energy Savings organised its third annual Energy Savings Summit. This event, dedicated to energy efficiency policies, gathered several EU decision-makers and stakeholders, including Miguel Arias Cañete, the Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy. In his intervention, Mr. Cañete stressed that energy efficiency and renewables are two sides of the same coin. This is one of the important messages put forward during this conference, whose main focus were the discussions surrounding the Clean Energy (for All Europeans) Package, in particular the Energy Efficiency Directive.

ESTIF participated in this event, having the opportunity to point out important synergies between energy efficiency and renewable heating and cooling, in particular solar thermal, in aspects such as financing mechanisms.
