European Sustainable Energy Week – EGEC, AEBIOM and ESTIF collaborated to submit an event on Renewable Heating and Cooling

The European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF), the European Geothermal Energy Council (EGEC) and the European Biomass Association (AEBIOM) decided to submit a proposal for an event at the European Sustainable Energy Week.

Entitled “Decarbonising the heating sector: old barriers and new solutions”, this event, if selected by the European Commission, will present the key findings of the FROnT projects as a starting point for the panellists. The different representatives of the Renewable Heating and Cooling Sector will present the different solutions to lift market barriers from the industry but also that consumers met. Each industry representatives will also have for a mission to represent the three technologies to ensure a fair representation of the partnership between the three partnering organisations.

What is the European Sustainable Energy Week?

This event is the most important European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events forge alliances. It will take place from the 20 to 22 June 2017. Public authorities, energy agencies, industry associations, businesses, civil society organisations and the media are all invited to take part in the conference.
