On the 2nd December, MEP Claude Turmes (The Greens, Luxembourg) took part to the 2016 ESTIF General Assembly as external guest, delivering a keynote speech.
His intervention centred around the Clean Energy Package (see dedicated article), and what opportunities the solar thermal industry can have out of it. He transmitted some key messages, and provided the audience with several well-thought advices, while also praising several times the professionality and strategy of the solar thermal lobbyists in Brussels. He expressed confidence in the Parliament ability to win back some of the measures that have been watered down in the package, and invited ESTIF to strategize together on how to get there.
After his intervention, he took the time to listen to the audience questions and interact with them, also remaining during the lunch break. His inspiring message concluded with a positive feeling for the future of the solar thermal industry.
