New ESTIF Board holds first meeting of the year

The newly elected Board of Directors held its first meeting. This meeting was longer than usual, lasting one day and a half, on the 18 and 19th January. This longer duration allowed for deeper debate on the most relevant topics related to the solar thermal sector and ESTIF work. Building on the discussions that took place during the ESTIF General Assembly, the discussions have provided a deeper insight into the Board’s views on the 2017 priorities During the second day, it was also discussed and some guidelines for the development of the 2050 Solar Heating and Cooling vision.
The topics covered included several issues related to the challenges posed by push towards electrification of heating and the Clean Energy package, debating approaches, arguments and potential partnerships.
The Board members also discussed some of the priorities related to Labelling and standardization and certification, besides how to improve the work on membership and servicing.
