In accordance with the European Commission’s recently upgraded integrated SET-Plan, the European Technology Platform on Renewable Heating and Cooling Platform officially became a Eu­ro­pean Tech­nol­ogy and In­no­va­tion Plat­form (ETIP). This unanimous decision was taken at the last RHC-Platform Board meeting, on the 26^th January.

ETIPs shall build on the work of the Eu­ro­pean In­dus­trial Ini­tia­tives (EIIs) and the Eu­ro­pean Tech­nol­ogy Plat­forms (ETPs), by combining these two concepts into one structure. ETIPs shall include representatives of the whole innovation chain, such as big companies, SMEs, industry, research, academy stakeholders, members of the EERA Join Programmes, etc. As part of their role, they shall ensure the regular communication with and within the Member States, the EU and their stakeholders.
