Date: 05 Mar 2016Category: Solar Heat News
The 20th Solar Keymark Network (SKN) meeting will be held on 8 and 9 March 2016 in Berlin.
The Solar Keymark Network
SKN promotes the development of the Solar Keymark quality label and its scheme rules. It is also an important platform for entities dealing with the Solar Keymark testing and certification. Its meetings are held bi-annually.
A new era
This 20th meeting will be hosted by DIN Certco, a German Certification body. This will be the first meeting chaired by Jaime Fernandez, the newly elected chairman, replacing Harald Drück that has been the chairman since the beginning of SKN.
Main issues on agenda
The meeting will address several relevant topics, namely the procedures to deal with complaints regarding SK certificates, the new collector datasheet and the proposed improvements to the SK database and to the data presented, the cooperation with Labelpack A+ and the potential synergies with energy labelling.
SKN will also decide on grants to be assigned under the 7th call of the Solar Certification Fund.
Other certification meetings
Other meetings shall take place, including one of the Global Solar Certification Network on the 10th of March and the kick-off meeting of IEA-SHC Task 57, on Solar Standards and Certification.
ESTIF will be represented by its Secretary General on the two first meetings, SKN and GSCN.
Next SKN meetings
The next Solar Keymark Network meetings are scheduled for 17-18 October 2016, in Freiburg, Germany and 7-8 March 2017 in Madrid, Spain. Since it is important to have a diverse representation of the industry, ESTIF strongly encourages its members to participate in these gatherings.
