On the 22nd of November, the Belgian-German Chamber of Commerce organised a business trip for German companies interested in the Belgian solar thermal market. The event involved a conference with external presentations, and a part reserved for business networking and exchanges between German and Belgian participants.

ESTIF policy officer, Stefano Lambertucci, participated in the event, giving a presentation on the EU legislative framework supporting solar thermal. Also, Wim Persoons, from Belsolar, and Manuel Battaglia from BSW, both ESTIF members, presented a perspective on the Belgian and the German solar thermal markets.

Despite the dire situation of the Belgian solar thermal market, all participants were very much interested in exploring further cooperation, and enjoyed the opportunity provided by the Belgian/German chamber of commerce to further reinforce commercial relations.
