Wagner & Co Solartechnik as well as Markus Elsässer of Solar Promotion are among the winners of the DGS-Solarpreis 2005 of the German Chapter of the International Solar Energy Society

Eeach year the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sonnenenergie awards their DGS-Solarpreis to persons and organisations for special achievments and contributions to the fostering of solar energy usage.

On 31 October DGS president Jan-Kai Dobelmann announced the winners of this year's award. Among them are ESTIF members Wagner & Co Solartechnik (in the category Companies) and Markus Elsässer of Solar Promotion (in the category Trade Fairs).

Wagner & Co was awarded for their pioneering work in the German solar market, as well as for their continuation of innovation in solar energies.

Markus Elsässer was awarded for his excellent work in promoting solar techologies, which shows in the evolvement of 'his' Intersolar from a small regional fair to the leading international trade fair for solar technologies.
