As foreseen in the Energy Union Strategy adopted on 25 February 2015, the Commission launched the Review of Directive 2012/27/EU on Energy Efficiency (EED) and the Review of Directive 2010/31/EU on Energy Performance on Buildings (EPBD).

The Solar Certification fund is providing financial support to several project led by ESTIF, promoting the view of industry in regards to the energy labelling review.
One of the initiatives will look into the overall preparation of the first review on the regulation 811/2013 and 812/2013. The group will focus on on how solar thermal in future should be incorporated in these regulations.
