New ESTIF Board holds first meeting of the year

European Commission workshop on heating & cooling

On the 26th of January, the European Commission organized an informal meeting on the heating and cooling related provisions of the Commission's proposal for a revised Renewable Energy Directive post 2020. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the relevant provisions of the proposal and clarify any possible questions stakeholders may have in order to facilitate a better understanding of the provisions ahead of the forthcoming legislative work.

ESTIF presenting the Clean Energy Package to National Associations

On January 18, and on February 8, Stefano Lambertucci, ESTIF policy officer, presented ESTIF’s analysis of the Clean Energy Package to the German national association (BSW) and to the French association (ENERPLAN).

The package represents the legislative framework for the implementation of the EU climate and energy policy between 2021 and 2030, with specific targets for CO2 reduction, energy efficiency improvements and deployment of renewables.

ESTIF hosting RES policy group

On February 3rd, ESTIF hosted a RES policy meeting. This meeting gathered policy officers of RES trade associations in Brussels, allowing for a platform of information exchange, and coordinates joint positions and activities.
